Block Party

September 8, 2010

Chairperson – Betty Cameron

Block Party is an exchange activity that offers ways for members to participate and serve our guild, as well as stretch our skills and imagination.  Block Party consists of two elements – a fat quarter and a quilt block.

Quilt Block – How does it work?  The monthly quilt block(s) will be selected or created by the Block Party chairperson.  Samples of upcoming blocks are available for viewing at our meetings one to two months prior to their due date.   Bring your completed block (s) to the General Meeting and for each block made, your name will be entered into a drawing. One or more names will be drawn based on participation.

Fat Quarter (18 inches by 22 inches cut of fabric) – A color feature or design will be selected and guild members are requested to bring in a fat quarter representing that theme.  Participants will receive a ticket for the end of evening drawing for a chance to win them.
