Quilts ‘N Force - What do they do?  What do they stand for?

The Simi Valley Quilt Guild’s Philanthropy is always ‘in-force’  during the year sewing for others.  Our goal is to provide warmth and comfort to those in need whether it be from illness, fire, lack of resources, loss of a loved one, or other cause.

Members of our Guild donate fabric, materials, and time in creating loving quilts.  March is generally designated as a “sew-in” meeting when our members spend an evening enjoying one another and producing as many quilt tops as possible.  Members who cannot attend often donate their time by completing the quilts.

Thru the generosity of our members each year quilts are donated to individuals and organizations, some of which are listed below:

Ventura County Hospital, Neo-Natal Center
Habitat for Humanity (see above photos)
Women’s Shelters
Seniors at local Convalescent Homes
Programs for Young Women who are changing their lives
Military Families
Southern California Fire Victims
Minor Parent Program
