In February we are excited to have “one of our own” visit our stage and share her quilting story. Lujean Seagal will be presenting her trunk show “Beyond Boring Borders”. Lujean has taught locally for many years, both in the adult education program and for local quilt shops. She travels throughout Southern California, lecturing and teaching workshops. In addition, her quilts have been displayed in many national quilt venues, including Paducah! !
Lujean is well-known for her inventiveness in enhancing a quilt by creating unique borders. Those lucky enough to enroll in her classes have watched her create amazing border designs to enhance her quilts. Best of all, she enjoys sharing her techniques with fellow quilters. Through her classes, she encourages each quilter to develop his or her own creativity ! ! !
Lujean has invited her students, past and present, to bring a quilt demonstrating one of their unique borders and to join her on stage at the guild meeting for “Show and Tell” We hope you will participate, as we would really love to see your adaptations of her techniques ! ! !
